EV Calculator

While researching electric vehicles, I found I couldn't easily get the information and data I wanted.
I made this calculator to easily calculate emissions and cost between an electric vehicle and an ICE vehicle.

Autumn With Drone

This is my third collection of aerial shots with a DJI Phantom 3 Pro. Enjoy!

Fitbit Data Tracker

A while back I purchased a Fitbit Charge HR because I thought, being able to quantify things like you heart rate and amount of steps you take a day would be interesting.
I bought it with the intention of downloading all of my Fitbit data through their API and storing it in my own database.
Although the Fitbit API turned out to be a challenge to use, (to say the least) I managed to retrieve all of my data.
I then created a searchable, customizable interface to view all of the data.
I've linked to it below, although it is currently password protected. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more.

Summer With Drone

This is my second montage of drone shots. Had so much fun with this one. Enjoy!
equipment - DJI Phantom 3 Pro
destinations (Canada) - Southampton, Muskoka, Port Elgin, Tobermory
music - DVBBS - Never Leave

Arduino LED Table

This is one of the first Arduino based projects I ever made.
It started out with seeing a few videos online where people were creating audio visualizers. I knew this is something I wanted to do but at the same time it had to be something functional.
I purchased a table from IKEA, installed the LED's (from Bliptronics at the time; have since gone out of business) programmed all the patterns. Including, of course, an audio visualizer.

Year With Drone

This is my first batch of shots after a year of having my drone. Enjoy!
equipment - DJI Phantom 3 Pro
destinations (Canada) - Hamilton, Gravenhurst, Burlington, Southampton, Peggy's Cove, Halifax, Rimouski, Campbellville
music - NikolaiZizenko "Inspired Motivation 3" licensed by audiojungle.net

Arduino Quadcopter

Before the drone industry got to where it is today, there wasn't much in the world of quadcopters other than people building them in their garages and basements.
A friend and I decided to build our own, each with a different frame design.
I would say mine turned out alright, but it is nothing compared to the drones of today.

Planeplotter

Like most of my other projects, I like to collect data on things.
I had read an article on a project that was tracking aircraft data and after a bit a research I realised how simple it would be.
It would only require a single antenna and a bit of code. I purchased the antenna for $20 or so and I was set to go.

Aircraft send out a ADS-B signal that can be picked up by anyone.
If you "listen" to this signal and decode it you can get all sorts of information like: speed, altitude, heading, location and more.

Weather Dashboard

I've been logging the "weather" (pressure, humidity, temperature, etc) at my house for about 10 years now.
This is a dashboard that displays the latest data uploaded to this webserver.
(Note: The data will always be a day behind because I batch upload the data during the night from my house to the webserver.)

Online Family Recipe Database

This one is pretty self explanatory.
I wanted a online database to store my family's recipes for multiple reasons.
First, it would be much easier to search though to find the recipes that you want.
Second, the physical recipes deteriorate and get damaged during use.
The database stores: ingredients and their amounts, directions, additional notes and photos of both the finished product and physical recipe card. I've linked to it below, although it is currently password protected. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more.

Torque (Android) Data Logger

Similarly to Planeplotter, I was doing some reading one day and realised now easy it would be to read the data from my vehicle.
I purchased an OBD-II reader on Amazon for ~$10 and it worked great. Using the Torque app on Android I was able to log the data and upload it into my own database.
I then created a dashboard to view each trip with a map and charts that overlaid each datapoint for easy viewing.
I've linked to it below, although it is currently password protected. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more.

Infinity Mirror

Again, another one of those saw-it-on-the-internet-and-wanted-to-build-my-own type of things.
I purchased an IKEA mirror, got some LED's from Adafruit and that was about for the build process.
I spent a lot more time on the software. There is a dashboard (linked below) that allows anyone to pick a type/speed/colours/etc for the mirror an display it.
If the page says online, feel free to give it a try... (although you won't be able to see it, you can rest assured it will be displayed.)

Banzai

One of the few non-personal projects I've done.
Banzai is a full-featured asset management system created for Pipeline Studios.
It provides Toonboon Harmony integration, full asset tracking and file storage.
I've linked to it below. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to know more.
